This fall we got a bread machine and recently discovered that it makes great pizza dough! Below is the recipe we use, just adding everything to the dough pan in the order listed. We then turn it out into a nice big piece of plastic wrap (if the dough is sticky you can use either flour or a little olive oil on your hands to coat the dough ball. If you're going to use ithe dough within a couple of hours it should go in the fridge. If it will be used a little later, put it in the freezer. It will only take 15 mins or so to thaw out. For the girls we like to let them pick toppings and make fun little scenes with them. Here are some shamrocks for St. Patty's day! Bake at 425 for 15 minutes or until the crust is slightly golden brown. I love using roasted veggies and other fun ingredients to make my pizza more interesting! Today I used roasted asparagus and red grapes with goat cheese. I skip the sauce for this one, instead rubbing a little olive oil and Italian herbs on the flattened dough before adding my ingredients. Other great ingredients include: sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, feta cheese, leftover chicken or steak, fresh herbs, or anything you like! Delicious!! Enjoy and get creative!!
