An easy way to make homemade buns in your bread machine. You’ll never go back to store-bought again once you try them! Into Breadmachine:
1/2c whey 1/2c milk 2% 1 egg 5 Tbs room temp butter, sliced into small bits to better mix 3Tbs sugar 1.5 tsp salt 3.5c bread flour 2tsp yeast Use water instead of the whey if you don’t have any, but ricotta or yogurt are fun and easy to make and leave you with delicious whey for baking! I put on the dough cycle of my machine (1.5 hours) and let it go. When it’s done I pulled out the dough and cut into eight parts. Round them out on the top kind of pinching them on the bottom. Then set a couple inches apart on a silicone lined baking sheet. I put a dish towel on top and put them in a warm oven for an hour (i had it at 200 and then shut it off... if it’s warm where you live, like over 80, you could probably just leave them on the counter). Then egg wash and pop in the oven 350 until light brown! They are delicious and somewhat light but still enough structure to hold up for a burger. Enjoy!!
