This next hunt/camp meal is one of my husband’s favorites. It’s PACKED with protein and reminds him of warm and homey tuna casserole. If you’re not a tuna fan you could certainly sub in a packet of canned chicken or add freeze dried chicken or beef right into the pack. Here is what goes into the pack: Tuna Rosa: 1 brick of chow mein noodles (same ones as the chicken Alfredo recipe, found in my local grocery store- they cook in minutes in boiling water) 1/3c freeze dried peas (if you prefer another vegetable just swap another freeze dried veggie in that you like better. Target and Amazon both have a good selection) 1 tsp dried bell peppers 1T dried mixed veg Pepper to taste (no need for salt there is plenty on the sauce) Pair with large pack of tuna and a packet of Rosa sauce To cook add boiling water to cover the ingredients well and fold over the top so they can steep. Once everything is soft (the peas take the longest) then you can carefully pour out most of the water and stir in the packet of sauce. Start with half and add to your liking. Once your noodles are seasoned how you want them you can add in the tuna and enjoy.
