Need a quick idea for dinner? If you keep some veggies and a couple of stir-fry ingredients in your fridge a quick Stirfy can be your answer in under 30 minutes. What you'll need: Plus rice to serve it over... I love Basmati rice and I use it for everything. I also LOVE my rice-cooker. You pop in the ingredients and turn it on, you have perfect rice and it stays perfect for up to 3 hours. If you don't have a rice-cooker, put equal parts rice and water into a pot, turn it on high uncovered until it boils, then cover it and turn it down to low. Do NOT stir. Once it's done, fluff with a fork. Once you have your rice going, it's time to slice the meat. You can use any meat or seafood you like. I am using venison sliced nice and thin. Stirfry on high in your oil of choice (coconut or peanut oil are my recommendation). Add in a little ginger and garlic. Once the meat is just browned, add in a spoonful of hoisin or your favorite Stirfry sauce, a couple sages of soy sauce and your raw veggies, stir to coat, cover and let the veggies steam for a few minutes just to soften. Whatever veggies you have and like works! I like to steam broccoli separately (green beans too). For broccoli I just rinse it as pop it into the microwave for about a minute and a half. Then once your other veggies are steamed with the Stirfry, you can add the broccoli in. Sprinkle on a few sesame seeds and enjoy over rice! A hit with the whole family!
